OLD TAPES CONVERTED TO DVD – CHEAP, SPECIAL NO FRILLS PRICE

You can have your DVD cover with a personal collage of photos that I take from your original tape. These are scattered attractively (see images in ‘Special Offer’ in above menu) across the cover, and on the DVD itself along with a title of your choice.   This is from $30 for the first hour upwards.  SEE ‘Prices’ page in the menu at the top of the page to get the exact price, which is dependent on the length of the tape).

OR you can get the ‘budget‘ price

You can save money by going NO FRILLS which gives you a DVD with a basic title for a reduced price.  This does not include personal photos taken from the tape in a collage on the cover and printed on the DVD itself.  Great if you have a lot of tapes to convert and want to save approx $5-$20 per tape (depending on length).

Please let me know at the time of calling if you want this special budget price which works out at approximately $25 per tape up to 90 minutes, $30 up to 180 mins.  Our special offer of ‘every sixth tape free’ is not included in this price.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Mother’s Day is coming up.   Take this opportunity to get those old videos converted to dvd of when the kids were small and Mum was much younger.  These truly are Unforgettable Memories.

Weddings are in the air this month, whether you’re a royalist or not.

They are always historical occasions no matter who we are, and deserve to be documented.

We are all ‘royal’ in our own ways.

Dig out those old wedding tapes you’ve been procrastinating about for years and send them off to us to archive onto DVD for your family.

The kids will shriek with delight when they see mum and dad a decade or two or three back.

There’s a number of ways to convert tapes.  BE CAREFUL of the VHS to DVD all-in-one machines.  They do a quick easy job, but when played on a big screen TV there can be quality problems with pixels breaking up when the DVD is on such a large screen.  To get a good digital result your tapes need to be run through a computer.

There are also a number of problems regarding the small thumb drive size external video capture usb methods of converting your tapes.  These are plugged these into a computer via usb and then into the video player via RCA plugs.  As tapes are converted via this method you can end up with  small  one or two second ‘freezes’ throughout the dvd or the sound being out of sync with the video, especially if a computer is more than a couple of years old.

We have experimented with different types of the above methods and found them to overall give an inferior result.
